Kinda a crazy story instead

About 6-7yrs My dad was driving a 4 door long box duramax with a 30th enclosed trailer. Going up and down mountains in North Carolina. Hit a patch of black ice on the top. Right went into the ditch split the receiver hooked to the trailer like a banana and My dad had to run the truck a ways offroad.
Spare receiver caught air, took out the whole back window. My uncle woke from sleeping in the back and sat up. Receiver hit his back. If it wasn't for hitting him in the back it would have hit the driver head rest and mostly lifeline killed my dad on impact. Lost %90 percent of tools. A few months later found a screwdriver in the engine department when looking for a rattle that the screw driver was making. Lost the trailer because every trip back their from Michigan was too dark so the repo company wouldn't release it. My uncle still has Back problems

But that's why the straps are 27 feet long!

Not sure how well you can see this but there is a smaller tractor trying to pull the tongue of a grain cart back down. Hitch pin must have come out after the cart was loaded

There is something wrong here. I can't put my finger on it.

Your right, you can't see the right rear tail light, other than that, it looks ok

The trail of sparks makes up for the hidden tail light.

If the guy read any of the earlier posts in this thread, he would know to wrap a strap around the dragging edge, run it through the right window, out the left and hook it to the left rear wheel. Tighten the strap and he's good to go.

duanew1,

I think that picture should go in the "Share Pics of People Hauling or Towing Something Wrong, and the Morons Who Follow them too Closely" thread.

There is nothing that looks right about that. I used to live in CA and I have ever seen a nice freeway like that with only two vehicles. Other than that, what's the problem? :confused3:

I think the guy should get a grinder of cutoff wheel to do that job. It doesn't seem right for him to use taxpayer-built highway surfaces to do his metal grinding on.

Ha!!

He was only going 15mph. I was in a BMW M3 and could have stopped in half the distance between the trailer and the front of my car. If he was going faster there would be more sparks.

Saw this at a gas station, two extra buckets and not a chain on anything.

But the thumb will keep the buckets from bouncing off and everything else will ride as long as you stay under 110.
