My guess is that, including the trailer weight, that's well over 10K on a a 7K trailer. I have a similar trailer and feel like it's heavy with half that much wood.

That trailer filled to the top of the rails with green ash is probably right at it's rated capacity. Your "well over 10k" estimate is sound.

Rain ...and driving along in tandem with a gasoline tanker. At 40 mph. Brilliant!

Another for the wall of shame...loader up in the air because the trailer is too small. The trailer also looks pretty light for that load as well (Kubota L4600 with FEL and implement.

The trailer looks OK but very tongue heavy the way he has it loaded. I am sure the dually has no issues with the weight but the trailer tongue might.

could never understand how they drive in the highspeed lanes like that. keep it in the right and slow down to be safe. I guess they are to stupid..Mybe faster and the rain does touch it lol

I always wonder the same thing. The only explanation I can come up with is that they are worried about all of the hullaballoo of people entering and exiting the freeway, so instead they move over to the center lane and just sit there plodding along like it is the slow lane.

The trailer might be okay....I was too busy shaking me head at the loader to pay much attention to the trailer!

Yeah, it looks like any real bumps or uneven terrain will wack the heck out of the tailgate and bed sides, especially if combined with going around a turn.

BTW, nasty crack on your windshield! That sucks.

Yeah, a guy in a pickup with no mud flaps was passing me and threw a rock right at the center of the windshield....the chip turned into a crack within a mile. I don't know why they don't make mud flap standard equipment on all trucks.

Spotted this today and stopped to see if I could help. Rear crossmember ripped away from the frame and was dragging on the road under the weight of the boat. Front crossmember was ripped but had not yet separated. No visible rust on the trailer. Appeared to be caused by metal fatigue. Recovery service came and jacked up the crossmember and temporarily secured it using 2 inch ratchet straps. Limped the load 3 miles to a lake where the boat was offloaded so that the trailer could be brought into town to be welded up.

Did the welds come off the frame, or did a square of the frame come off with the bracket?

the square of the frame came off with the bracket. Welds were good.

Perhaps a little too hot and caused undercut which weakened the base metal? Aaron Z
trailer was 28+ years old. Here is a pic once the strap was installed.

Maybe should remove his SMV sign from the tractor also.
