They will only recap tires that are 6 years old or newer . We run them on the sander/plow trucks no blowouts at 25mph and freezing cold outside...lol

Good point. I was speaking only of highway usage, not low speed / offroad cases.

It's not the retreads... They don't fail any more often than new tires.

You're definitely more knowledgeable about this than me, so I won't argue. But the number of peeled-off retreads I see laying all over the shoulders of the PA turnpike at least make me think they do fail more often than new tires. How do you explain these road snakes I pass every day on the highway?

I was pulling a little 2 horse down the freeway going about 65 mph in the dark when I ran over a recap. It flipped up behind the truck and the trailer hit it doubled over. That sent one side of the trailer into the air. No damage expect to the poor horses trust in the whole trailering idea. No damage done and they recovered

The gravel quarry trucking company I worked for back in the 70's would get tires recapped. I do know the tire crew went out way more to change tires that had thrown a cap than they would for any other tire. But then if the recap actually survived and wore out the tread they would cap it again so throwing a cap was going to happen at some point.

It's clearly a joke someone made on Ryanair. It's just a video done on Microsoft Flight Simulator game, an actually very good simulator to get started in aviation.

Not a dig on flight simulator - I have to admit to spending way too much time on the SGI flight simulator in 1989, but this is rather entertaining:

I think flight simulator was one of my first programs along with Oregon Trail I ever bought back in the late 80s early 90s I’m not sure when…..

It was an entertaining program for a new PC novice but since 5 1/4 floppies went bye-bye I haven’t done any gaming

Tandy 1000 EX…… didn’t have a hard drive, and had to boot Dos up from the floppy drive

Followed this rolling wreck yesterday on some county roads.
No lights at all on it, no license plate, unsecured load, no safety chains and the ball hitch didn't appear to have a locking lever on it. Caught him at a light and told him he had no lights and he acted surprised.
It wasn't that the lights didn't work, there were no lights on it.
