Coulda used the truck jack and put a chunk of wood twixt the axle and frame.
Yep. I have done that many times hauling wood. Tires weren't necessarily rubbing but wanted to keep the truck sorta level and not risk breaking a spring.
There was another time we took our Ford Dually with air bags to OKC to pick up some tile, we couldn't wait for it to be shipped. Two full pallets of tile they load the first one then ask where our other truck is? We said push it up and load the next one. They about had a cow. Went down the road really well though had plenty of brakes. If I had to do it again I still wouldn't take a trailer.
