3-Point Hitch Setup Yanny 1500d

I am having trouble stabilizing the load on my 3 point hitch.
The lower arms hit the rear wheels.
I tried to use chains but the only place I had to hook them to was the large clevis below the PTO and then to the bottom of the lift links on the lower arms.
I tried to keep as much slack out of the chain as possible and when I raised the carryall it popped the hooks on the chains.(I guess the chains don't stretch).
Does anyone have clear pictures of what kind of setup is needed to solve my problem?

I believe this Yanmar Tractor Parts: THREE_POINT_HITCH is what came on the 1500. #30 is the stabilizer bar and should be adjusted so your lift arms won't hit the tires.

My setup has the stabilizers. but I don't see how they can be adjusted.
I seem to have a lot of play on the pin where the lower links and the stabilizers are swung. I have all the spacers shown in the parts diagram.
The elongation in the stabilizers slide over a pin and the nut is welded in place.

Someone who owns a 1500 may have to chime in here. Just looking at the parts drawing made me think you could tighten #35 (nut) at any postition. If the nut is welded I don't see the need for the spring pin #33. I would think it was there to keep the nut from coming off in case it loosened. Just rattling, don't have a good answer.

my 1500 even full spread wont hit the tyres but mine are wide set. do you have the bracket numbered 30 on yours and are they bolted to the arms? mine sways around a fair bit because the bottom pin and all the arms/brackets are flogged out. i will fix all this one day and install some chains with turnbuckles to keep everything tight. i still have to make that quickhitch........

Not sure if you have done this already.... But are the rear tires flipped? I realize this doesn't resolve the issue as to why the tires are hitting the lift arms in the first place, Although by flipping them would give it a couple more inches of clearance on each side,

I do have item 30 bolted to the lower links.but they are allowed to slide in the elongated holes. the nuts are welded to the stud and cannot be removed.
I only use a CarryAll on the 3pt and the pins point out, about 30 inches apart. I tried to turn them in but then the lower arms don't have enough room inside the angle iron to be able to go over the pins.
Yes me Rear tires are reversed. I live on a hill and have to be VERY careful not to turn over.Thats the main reason I got the CarryAll, for the extra weight. I only use the FEL.

Those bars are not very user friendly. I have several customers that have just replaced them with the chains that are used on every single other Yanmar model --

Yanmar Tractor Parts: SWAY CHAIN (STABILIZER CHAIN)

You may have to customize things a little bit but once you get them working it will make adjustments much easier.

Combined with Hoye's diagram and their photo of their sway chain kit, you should get a good idea of how the sway chains are installed on most Yanmars.

Is the bracket that you attached the chain to a standard item?
The one that mounts on the pin with the lower link.

Yes, the black bracket and everything painted black are original so far as I know. The bright cadmium-plated sway chain components are recent replacement parts.

I think Aaron (@Hoye) was pointing out you will need to buy from him two of the 'SCA-350' brackets shown in his most recent post, in addition to two standard sway chain assemblies.

Am I missing something? Aarons drawing seems to shown the chains crossing to the oppisite side lower lift arm? California, yours seems to be hooking to the same side lower lift arm?

As long as you have somewhere to attach the chains on the lift arm side you can. The tractor in my illustration (YM1510) does not have anything to attach to.

Just keep in mind that the closer to parallel the chains and arms are - the harder it is for the chains to keep the arms from swinging and more stress is put on the chains.
