Massey Ferguson 1010
In looking (finally) for a repair manual for my MF1010, I see quite a variation in price.

From the top at http://www.ssbtractor.com/tractor_manual_search.cgi?
tractor_manual_make=Massey+Ferguson&tractor_manual_model=1010

This is what they listed that seems to cover it all.

MF 1010 Gear Shift Trans, Diesel, Compact Service Manual, 1088 pages $183.95

And Amazon has an I & T shop service manual #47 for $23.52

Amazon.com: Massey-Ferguson Shop Manual (I&T Shop Service Manuals) (9780872885684): Books

Also wondering if either of them will give detailed info on things like hydrolic line routing etc. I'm kinda **** about stuff like that.

Does the I & T cover the tranny (manual) and engine? What makes the one so much money? I know 1088 pages is a lot, just wondering if I need that?

Thanks

The expensive one is official. You can sometimes find them cheaper on eBay.

I&T is more cryptic. I think the MF version will have a lot more illustrations and pictures.

I have the service manual for my mf1040 and it covers all the 1000 series. I got it when i got the tractor new in 1986. it covers the 1010, 1020, 1030, and 1040. What do you need? I might be able to scan and email you the part you might be looking for.

What I'd like to see is the original routing of all the hydrolic lines. Does it cover the addition of a FEL, and it's associated lines?

I spent about 3hrs this afternoon re-aligning the lines on my FEL. It looked like a blind man did it before. It appears that several of what (I think) used to be steel lines, have been replaced with high pressure hose. I prefer the look of the lines, but am not going to throw out the hoses just yet.

But then again, I'm going to need all the info on the regular maint and service so this might be a bit much to ask.

G'day the I&T manuals are more made for the person with a bit of mechanical knowledge they will give you the tech specs for the machine

Thanks banjo
I have quite a bit of mechanical experience, but just not on tractors or diesels. I guess I'll save up for the owners manuals.

I would appreciate the pages on changing all the fluids and what filters to use, if that's not too many pages.
