If a car is smaller, it should be lighter..

That was my point in the beginning .. They are making some vehicles smaller today than yrs ago. same car but smaller frame, etc, Why else would I said vehicles are lighter than they use to be. Chrysler 300 1960 vs Chrysler 300 2000 .both are Chrysler 300's 1 is smaller & lighter than it use to be

1970 Camaro, 188" overall length, and 3,166lbs base model curb weight.

2014 Camaro 190" overall length, and 3,719lbs base model curb weight.

I can do this all day long...cars have gotten heavier, but hey if you want to say they've gotten more dense, that's fine too.

The only thing you proved is that you need to use an apples-to-oranges comparison to support your mistaken position.

You can try lying with statistics, but if you compare vehicles based upon size, they have gotten heavier. Use overall length, and wheelbase, and they have gotten heavier per foot, i.e. they are more dense....much like some of the folks posting here trying to convolute reality.

A modern car packs more weight into the same size as older cars....no question about it. You can try arguing by using things of different size, but isn't how math, physics, or reality works.

Not correct. I proved to you that vehicles aren't getting heavier , they are getting lighter. you are the 1 that said vehicles are heavier. I proved that's not the case for all vehicles. Now you ant to change and say .. well they are smaller today so, they should be lighter.. Stick to your story.. you said they are heaiver

You didn't prove anything. I just pointed out a bunch of examples of the same model, that stayed about the same size, and they've all gotten heavier. Game, set, MATCH.

You tried comparing vehicles that changed dramatically in size, and aren't the same machines, so you're comparing apples-to-oranges to prove your point. I used vehicles of the same model, and the same size, and showed they've gotten heavier.

Go find a car that has kept the same name, has stayed roughly the same size, and has gotten lighter, and maybe you'd have something. You won't find that, because cars pack more weight into the same size as they used to, i.e. they are more dense, and have gotten heavier.

Yeah, go find a car or truck that has stayed roughly the same size, and has gotten lighter....you're going to be searching for a long time.

Vehicles are getting lighter ....... not heavier check mate !!!

I guess some folks are saying size doesn't matter....

Wrong again....you didn't find one that stayed close to the same size.

A 1970 Monte Carlo was 205" long. A 2000 Monte Carlo was just under 198" long. Apples-to-oranges again.

So, keep trying....find a car that stayed close in size, but got lighter.

Doen't matter if it's the same wheel base or not.. You made the broad statement that vehicles are getting heavier... You didn't say they have to be the same wheel base, tire size, 5 lug nuts vs 4, 15 gal fuel tank vs 20. etc, etc, YOU SAID "Vehicles Are Heavier... Broad statement that you can't back up
