Do they still sell thaese? Is there a way to modify the planter? how do I change the bearing? Is there a spacer between the bearing and housing?

I'm assuming that is a John Deere planter looking at the part number stamped in the bearing center. If the planter model number is on the planter, or you know what model it is, you can go to John Deere online parts and look it up. It should show an exploded view of said parts. I'm sure they are pretty pricey through Deere but you can copy & paste the part numbers to a search engine like Google, then look for aftermarket parts.

Easiest way to find parts for anything is to use the OEM part number.

Looks like 494 series planter. Deere still stocks them. They will cost more than the value of the planter, but if you already have the planter and it still works, why not.
