Secondary Hydraulics question

   / Secondary Hydraulics question #11
I was a little confused by POWER TRACS definition of a aux. hydraulic circuit (AUX. PTO ) and a main PTO circuit. A PTO supplies power to a gear box on a tiller, bush hog, stump grinder, wood chipper, auger etc. via. a splined drive shaft,as with a conventional tractor. The power trac PTO supplies hydraulic power (flow) to a hydraulic motor powering a brush mower, finish mower, stump grinder, tiller, power auger etc. The aux. hydraulic circuit (or power tracs definition--aux. PTO ) supplies power (flow) to a double acting cyl. powering a hydraulic top link, backhoe bucket curl function, snow/dozer blade power angle, bucket grapple, 4 in 1 bucket, log splitter, quick attachment plate locking pins etc. via. a spool valve. I don't mean to ruffle any feathers but a PTO is one thing and a aux. hydraulic circuit is another thing. They usually operate at different flow rates and psi.:)

We gave up responding to posts on Friday for Lent.

Well I wish I had got the memo, I could have had a steak Friday night instead of fish sticks!:D
