I just bought a yanmar 2000, seat is old and rusty, anyone have a suggestion for a replacement

find a dealer that sells A & I aftermarket parts. They have quality seats for almost everything at reasonable prices.

Temco in Memphis, TN. has good prices on universal seats. You can probably find their number in www.yellowpages.com.
I think they may have a website too. Seats with mounting brackets go for around $48.00

The seats off of the JD 750,850,and 950 looked very much like the seats on my Yanmar 165D and 336D. My local JD dealer was overstocked on those seats and selling them at a good price. I got one and sure enough it is identical.

SG Tractor also has seats that fit the import tractor . They can be hard to find because they are so narrow . I got one for my Mitsubishi and it fit great .It comes with a universal mounting kit . Fair price too . They are located in Mississippi . They had a web site but not sure if it is still up . Very good to deal with , ask for Anna .

The Tractor Supply Company had quite a slection of seats the last time I visited one. They do have a website.
