Search Questions

My question is in regards to using the TBN search engine.

If I want to look up an old post made by member XYZ is there a way to search all posts made by member XYZ rather than search by a topic?

Is there also a way to do a search to see when the last post was made by member XYZ? Thanks for the input guys!

View their profile and click the "Show all user's posts" link. That will show all posts starting with the most recent.

I was just reading posts using the "last 1 hour" list and very quickly going from one to the next until I came to this post. When I clicked on it, I got an error message that it couldn't be found; tried twice, same thing. So I clicked on the "related topics" forum; still didn't find it. So then I clicked on your user name, which took me to your profile, then at the bottom of that window, clicked on "show all user's posts" and since it was at the top of that list (your last post), clicked on it there and voila! got it. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif But if you don't find a message by a particular member to click on to go to his/her profile, I don't know the answer to your question.

Muhammad, I still get "We cannot proceed" "There was a problem looking up the post in our database" when I click on the original message, but I go right to it if I click on my or your response. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Muhammad thank you for your quick response. I figured the answer had to be right in front of my nose, I just couldn't smell it without help.

But how do you find their profile to click on if they haven't posted recently. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Click on search, select a forum, enter their username, select "By Display Name" from the search options and enter a date range.

As we've said, soon you'll be able to search all forums again.
