Anybody has any information regarding the actual operating efficiency of the old Seaman tillers? It's an old one, this tiller, probably goes back to 1960 at the earliest.

Occasionally somebody will mention them, I'm curious because when I was a young pup, long time ago, a farmer I worked for mentioned the Seaman tiller and said he was familiar with the soil work of Louis Bromfield and how the Seaman was integrated into that original green agriculture. It was a great story.

I googled them. Do you have a full tractor tiller or PTO tiller?

I'm talking about a PTO tiller, not the one powered by the diesel, etc.

Just wondering if this is a piece of junk that breaks down all the time or a real rugged, legit performer.

One for sale locally, curiosity getting the best of me.

Just wanting to touch bases with somebody who has familiarity with this old classic. Imagine. 4' wide weighing a cool thousand pounds.....that's serious iron by any standard.

That HAS to do a nice job on the soil. That is a lot of weight.
