Did you follow the Hoelscher scraper design? What size / kind of tractor do you pull it with. I noticed turf type tires on the rears. Do you get enough traction??

This is my modification to a copy of a Soil Mover dump bowl scraper made for John Deere 140 tractors back in the 1960's.

I added the hydraulic apron last summer and are in the process of automating the dump bowl latch.

I have a 4wd Bx23 kubota tractor to pull with. I built this scraper around my size of tractor it works great. I wish I would have bar tires on it but turf tires seem to work also.

I have several tractors with bars tires. I am changing to Turf Trax tires for better all a round use.

I this saw reading back to 2002 in build it yourself. Awesome project!
Figured its worth recycling the post for those that haven't seen it.

Makes me wonder if I could add a cylinder to my Gannon Earthcavator (6 ft) to rotate the bucket backwards after scraping it full. Would be additional load to carry on the 3PT for sure but would give a little more "range" when moving earth. Have any of you guys tried something similar?
