Well the bowl is 46'' width and overall is 51''. IT holds "about" 3/4 of yard of dirt. Well I thought about going with out an apron, but it holds more dirt, looks alot better and helps pan out your dirt better. It all depends on the operator I can load it in about 30' just Idling the tractor. I have more than enough HP and traction to pull this pan.

I can tell this ain't your first rodeo!~~

Looks like factory baked enamel finish.

Neat clean hydrolic lines.

Excellent workmanship.

Do you have a full set of pics showing the build?

Here are some more build picture? I'm planning on building a different style of scraper plan this spring, I'm in the designning mode right now. The only thing I had to change on this pan was the apron cylinder didn't go up high enough otherwise works great. Moves lots of dirt fast.

I've moved alot of dirt with cat 623s and 613s, and I gotta say a full day of running a scraper hard will wear you out, but I really like the way this one looks!

Did you bend your own hydraulic tubing or have it done? If you had it done by a hydraulic shop, may I ask what it cost?

Looks great!

I used a parker 1/2 tube bender. I flared all the ends with a hydraulic crimper. 1/2 tube with wall thickness .049. No brazing, just 1/2 sleeve and 1/2 nuts all JIC fittings.

OK, I was basing my assumption of brazing on using ORFS (O-Ring Face Seal) fittings from Parker. Thanks for the info.

Here are some new pictures of the cylinder I had to change . Now the arpon open's 14" instead of 8'' works much better.

A great deal of skill and time must have gone into this scraper, but the picture looks like your scraper is located in a fairly well established subdivision? And you're already starting your second scraper? What's the story?

I'll bet scraperpan's land borders a typical suburban neighborhood. If so, he can just sit back and smile that he isn't crammed into a 1/10 acre lot like sardines in a can, or cube rats in a cube farm.

His last pictures brought a question to mind...
Will a scraper pan, if heavy enough, with a sharp enough cutting edge pick up ice and snow for removal from streets and driveways? Not that I have a need for one, it was more or less just a thought for somebody who lives in an area that has a need for a scraper pan and a snowblower, but not enough use (or funds) to purchase both?

So how does it dump?

Actually he has a single cylinder behind the bowl that picks up the back of the bowl and tips it forward to dump. You can see that on the first page and the first post about picture 3. it is very similar method as the company with the german sounding name that makes scrapers--Hoelscher or something like that.
