SCott easy level deck

I have a Scott 18hp kohler with the easy level deck and it does what is says. the deck is easy to level. But it is also easy to knock un-level...The left side of the dern deck(left if you sit on it) will not stay put... Any lil snag and down it drops so it cuts way lower than the other side. Now shes about 5yr old and the problem cropped up in the last year or so...I have put a wrench(hard) to it ive tried the blue locktight and am now considering just welding a chain on that side or changing the design.... great mower with 3 blades and 46 in cut but my lawn is no golf course.... I have looked at the newer JD homedespot sells and have considered a more rigide disign like theirs. but I think a chain or just settin the dern thing where I want it and tack welding it were I want it to stay maybe easier....

Any body have a deck with the easy level sys like this. I think the new um ugly black murray uses the same design...

any thoughts ? Ideas? need picks?
