I've got a 7100 4WD HST and am thinking of getting a 3 point scoop for the machine. My land is sandy so I would be using it to load dirt that never really gets that hard. Anyone have experience with a scoop on one of these machines? How well does it work? What should I look out for? Thanks!

I've got a dirt scoop on my B2100, and it works well. If you adjust the angle carefully you can skim off an even layer of clay no problem. If you've got a pile of damp dirt you can back into it and pick up a bucket full. On dry dirt or sand it won't work so well since it only angles back so far, and the dry dirt or sand will want to fall out. If you are trying to move a large pile of mulch from one spot to another a box blade is faster than the dirt scoop. The scoop is also good for moving large rocks around. At around $200-$250 for a new one, they are a bargain.

I've got a scoop for my 790 that I picked up at auction for ~$100 ( don't remember the exact price /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif). They do a good job, but you have to know they are not a substitute for an FEL, more like for a shovel and wheelbarrow... they don't lift any higher than your 3PH. I've used it to scrape off the fields and fill in around the house. Works great for that. Much better than blisters /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif!
