Gatorboy, how does the posts in last 12 hrs work? I cant find any links for that.

Thanks

Hi Brian,

I use the same method as Gatorboy for most of my reading. When you are on the "Main Index" page look to the right. You should see a "Welcome Back, BlueToy1!" if you are logged in. Directly under that it reads "Recent Posts: 1, 6, 12, 24, 48 Hours ". Click on any of those to see a chronological list of all posts in the selected time range. Once in there, you can hit refresh in your browser to well, refresh it /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Ditto.. I missed this post and also posted to the related topic thread... message was closed by a mod...

Too bad there is no way to send a pvt message to all for the big issues like this... I sometimes miss the news updats.

I've noticed that if you jump to a forum with a bunch of unread threads, and you read one thread.. and go back to the forum.. all threads are marked read.

Thanks for the response Robs. I recall seeing that now, but I had no idea what it was for.

I've been noticing that on some threads, when you click on the title, it brings you to page one, when you should be brought to the most recent posts.

Bug List:

1) Back to Index is broken. I'm working on this, and not sure why, but it seems to mess up its URL that we want to go back to.

2) Losing "unread" messages as "read" by clicking on one. I haven't had this experience. Right now, if I go to a forum with tons of unread and click one of the threads, that thread goes grey, the TBN Sign goes grey on the main index, but when I click the forum, the unread threads are still highlighted. This is working as intended.

3) Clicking a thread takes you to the last unread post. I've been clicking and being redirected to the proper part of the post. It's always jumped to the "last unread" rather than the "last post" so if there are 5 new posts, it brings you to the oldest of those 5 posts.

4) The showall/last page error. Still broken.

5) Search Functions. Still broken.

We're working on it.

Ibrahim,

Thanks for all the great work and effort in support of TBN.

Still seems to be a problem with "search all user's posts". Gets a page full of error messages. Golfgar posted about this a few hours ago too.

*point to #5*

I'll be fixing it soon. Likely tonight. I need the site to slow down (in terms of people online) before I start it.

That one isn't happening to me today.

( 3) Clicking a thread takes you to the last unread post )

This one still isn't working. If I see a thread with 3 pages, and 1 unread email.. if i click it.. it takes me to the very first page/message.. not the last page with the new message.

thanks

Gotta add 2 more.

After replying to a message, and then selecting the 'return to forum' the forum title comes up, and the bottom header is fine.. but no messages are there.. you have to jump tot he forum again to get the list of messages back.

Also, If you see a thread with multiple pages, and you click, on .. say.. the 3rd page to start reading from there.. it still brings up page 1 message 1 as a start...

From my list:

1 is still an issue.

2 is operating as it should as far as I can tell. Others seem to confirm this.

3 is operating as it should, also. But this seems to be inconsistant.

4 is still an issue

5 is working.

I fixed the search. It's not totally fixed, mind you. The updates aren't live, and so I have to take the time to have it update consistantly later. But for now you can search all posts before about an hour ago.

Soundguy's first issue is actually related to #1. All the "back to index" links or redirects are broken. The 2nd part is also related to #4.

Ibramhim,

When I clicked on this thread it still takes me to the beginning of the thread. Not to the last read / newest message. Running Firefox.

Hope this helps.

I've noticed this one as well. When you click "Show All" it takes you to page one of the thread and if you click "Show All" again it will then show all the posts in the thread like it should.

when in a thread the index button does not work as it should.

instead to takin You to a list of posts in the forun it goes to a page with nothing listed.
