Hey all,

I have a Cub/Yanmar SC2450 and am having some trouble finding info regarding the backhoe operation. Here's what I have going on.... The boom operation is substantially quicker/harsher in operation when compared to the rest of the movements (crowd, swing, bucket, etc.). I can "feather" the control to smooth it out but it makes it pretty awkward and more time consuming to operate. The main boom will also slowly drop over time when not being used whether it's while using the tractor or just sitting. All of the other operations seem normal or at least comparable to each other. The unit only has 30 hours on it so not sure what to think. I have taken a look at the manual and have been unable to really come up with anything......?

Any thoughts?

here is the tech manual if that helps

Appreciate any help.

What RPM are you running the engine at when operating the backhoe?
I run mine around 2000 RPM.
All hydraulic rams will slowly drop over time. There is a pin to keep the backhoe main boom from dropping too far.
I use a string with hook on the end to keep the backhoe stabilizers up.
