Here is my rig: a Husky 2100 with 60" Granberg Alaskan, with 52" Forester bar.

Coastal redwood.

that is walnut. over time the color equalizes somewhat lightens in the middle and darker on the edge, it does it whether it is slabbed or not. That logs was cut within a week of cutting down the tree, I was trying to stop the spread of the color, it worked a little bit, but not as much as I wanted. I was going to make a coffee table out of that piece instead i sold all those slabs. that log was 25" on the end 33" across the crotch and 55" long. i got over $500 out of that log.
