Even an empty bucket is a formidable counter weight and will raise the center of gravity of the machine the higher up it is.

I also learned. Soon after getting my 2210, I had a flat tire on my trailer(open 21ft). Instead of getting a jack, I decided to use the FEL. It raised trailer up okay to get the tire off so I statrted getting off the tractor to put support under trailer and tractor started to tip. I was ballasted at the time, but just my weight was enough to keep it down.
