Any of you guys have a sand/salt spreader for your utv? How does it work? Did you have to get heavier rear suspension for it? What utv is it on ( ranger, kubota, kawasaki etc. )? Thanks.

I have one that was intended for an ATV. I mounted it on the tail gate of my Mule 610. I had to fabricate a rod to operate the feed gate on the bottom of the spreader. It worked well. I'm a trustee at our church and I use it to salt the parking lot when needed. It made a 5 minute job out of a 40 minute job when we did it by hand.

Thanks Don. I might go that same route myself. I was originally thinking of the mini-hopper type spreaders, that you see in pickups, highway department trucks, etc; but yours looks like it would do a good job, and probably a whole lot cheaper too! Thanks again.
