Or get a thumb button hand held switch and connect that to the brake controller. It won't know the difference between a switch or a brake light to provide voltage.

Thanks all. Didn't hook any brakes but she pulled the trailer just fine. Wasn't sure about the hill on my gravel driveway but it wasn't a problem. Did an empty test run 1st, then loaded a 1,000 lb log on her to make sure & all was good!
