after seeing countrybumpkin's quick-attach thread it makes perfect sense for me to do the same thing for my bucket and a pair of forks i have around. i'm also going to suggest that a few family members convert their equipment too, so we can share snow buckets, snow plows, buckets, forks, etc. actually, i'm going to suggest they just drop their stuff off and have me convert it. :D

in my family we have mostly green, and a few orange around, but i would like to make things as universal as possible. i looked quickly at the john deere website and it looks like they have their own proprietary quick attach system? i know i have seen some skid steer and kubota implements with a system that looks just like the one done by countrybumpkin, and with a little more research, it seems that this system is covered by the sae j2513 spec?

is anyone out there familiar with this or know where to find exact information? i did some searching and haven't found any yet. i can always just go and measure someone else's stuff, but if i can find the written documentation that would be cool.

What green machines do you have? I only ask because while Deere does have their propritary system as standard equipment, For +/-300.00 you can buy the Skid Steer QA for selected loaders.... I got the SS-QA setup on my 300cx when I ordered it. IMO for 300.00 you cant build a nicer QA.

mine's an older 770 (model 70 loader), and we've got a couple even older 1050's around. everything pre-dates quick attach, and any front end loader buckets could be original or retrofitted from anything under the sun. I like the skid steer setup and it looks pretty simple. I think I can make suitable loader attachments pretty easily. I was just hoping to find someone with a link to the exact specifications in case there's some small detail I miss by just measuring them.

MWB's post was very useful when I built mine, Kubota does not offer a SSQA for my loader so my only option was purchasing a aftermarket one, Some reason I just wasn't happy with the ones I found to work with my loader. By the time I purchased the adapter and four sets of plates to install on my bucket , forks , ect. I was going to have around 1000 invested. Also if you go with the true skid steer style most rental places have many accessories that can be utilized with that setup.
