I recently purchased a Bull S630D with an FEL. Been searching but have not seen any other posts related to this model. Is the Bull not a common unit? This thing seems like it runs fairly strong, gets hot if I run it hard but I see no evidence of a blown Head gasket yet. Plan to remove and replace or try to flush the radiator as well as change or check the thermostat.
The fluids all seem pretty good on it, seems as if it was well maintained, hydraulics are a bit slow, maybe supposed to be the way it is, not sure.
The engine makes good power but I sounds as if when throttled up it might be running a bit weaker on one cylinder. I plan to Laser temp check the exhaust next time i fire it up cold, see if I can learn anything. The valves will get set as soon as I get a Valve cover gasket, and wondering if anyone has any experience with the injectors checking them for spray pattern and or volume? Can one ultrasonic clean Diesel injectors? Easy way to do a compression test on this thing? (I know my Snap-on gas engine comp tester would probably be destroyed from the diesel's high comp)
Might have imagined it but I was driving the thing to the field I thought I felt it "lurch" as if a cylinder was weak and kicked in for a second. Is that even possible? Has a twin cylinder Diesel, I have lots of experience with gas engines, (last 15+ years as a motorcycle/atv tech) but I only know how diesel works so any tips or tricks I'd love to hear!
Sorry for the long first post with so many questions, need to get a field mowed for a festival in three weeks, need this thing so we need to keep it going till then before any major teardowns!
