Ballast RV antifreeze to load my tires

all af mixes eventually freeze.

the misnomer is that it is actually holding tank AF.. etc.
True, it will all freeze at some point. Most pre-mix RV antifreezes freeze at a surprisingly high point, around 10deg , but it actually protects against expanding and bursting to -50.

It generally is used in RV fresh water supply systems, it could be used in holding tanks, most RVers drain them for winter storage.

In my area it would be extremely rare to see 10F (even saw 0F once) so it would work fine in tires, not so sure in much colder areas.

R was on for not loading when equipped with backhoe is likely weight limitation of the tire. Tire rated load capacity includes liquid ballast even though one might reason that weight gets transferred directly to the ground. And right, it is a liability issue. Kubota would not recommend a combination that violated an industry standard. What you do, however, is your own choice but if something happened like a blown tire or split rim, the company has an out.

RV antifreeze is the same cost or more than having the dealer do it with beet juice,,,,,try washer fluid

Is it that or the total weight on the frame? That would be my concern. Has anyone had any long-term experience with loaded tires and a BH?

I'm curious if there's a specific reason why you want to use antifreeze? A cheaper option could be windshield washer fluid or a product like RimGuard (beet juice). I've seen -25f WW fluid for as cheap as $1.50 per gallon and the Beet Juice for $3.50 a gallon installed.

I just located this on GUNKS website, each bottle makes 6 gallons of washer/de-icer and protects to -30 degrees? this would be the cheapest way i've seen to fill tires.

I have a BX25 with r-4 tires loaded with rimguard, I have my BH on most of the time and have had my mid mount mower on and off often with the backhoe attached. My BX is 2 years old and has 256 hours on it without any issues, my dealer told me that I could leave the BH, MMM, and loader on all the time if i wanted, they said many of their customers do it. I don't like to leave the mower on when doing BH work because I fear tearing it up. I also have the rear Bro-tech skid plate installed all of the time. The BX is a tough little tractor that will amaze you every time you get on the seat.

Gunk Details

I looked at it but had questions. The website says makes 6 gallons but the bottle says 8 gallons, which is it? Then it says "as low as -30". I got the feeling that the level of freeze protection depends on how strong you mix it. I would like to see the instructions

I'm going to a little contrarian: For $80 I would buy the weights, or two sets if they would fit. It's more money than the fill is, but are reusable, and can be supplemented by liquid fill if you want. To me, the cast iron seems like a better option. One set will put you a little under in weight compared to filled tires, but two would be heavier than fully filled tires. Is there a reason you're avoiding the iron weights?
