rusty John deere 4100

I have a 2000 JD 4100. The fenders are rusting out like crazy and paint wount stay on it.

If the rust that deep into fenders you may have use sand blaster,follow by darn good primer before painting.

Ground out your electrical system especially lights on the tractor frame , make sure u removed the rust with a wire wheel grinder or a lot of sand paper and a sanding soft block down to bare metal . once rust is removed wipe down bare metal with a acetone or similar product to remove dust , prime paint is a must .two coats kind of thin is better than one thick one, paint with what ever color you desire preferablly JD colors !!! and seal the painted area with a urethane for more rugged use and chipping resistence.
