Rubber Track replacement

Just bought a new track for my JD 27D (2009)
just don't know how to replace it.
Any info can help.
A mechanic talks about the grease valve in the side.
But not to sure.

I wonder if the grease valve he was talking about is the way they use to keep the tracks tight as they wear? If so it would make sense to relieve the pressure to replace the tracks.

Absolutely, correct. Remove the grease fitting from the tensioner. Collapse the tensioner piston and wrestle the track off. It is easier if you can get your machine 8-10 inches off of the ground. Good luck.
