RTV900 Shift Lever

Hi
I need to replace the shift lever on my rtv 900, while shifting the lever broke off.

As anyone experienced the same?

Looks like the dashboard as to come out to get to the joint where it’s connected in order to replace with new one.

Any advice would be helpful
