Anyone actually seen or driven one of these smaller gas powered RTVs? They look like they would be alot of fun!

I was in the dealer this past weekend and they don't have one yet. The sales guy said that they had a demo about 2 months ago, but no stock to sell yet...

They're a bit smaller than the RTV900 and should fit in the back of a long bed pickup... and should be quieter than the currently available diesels....

Drove one today at my dealer. Nice, tight and quite. Great machine :D.
I bought a Kawasaki Mule 3010 Trans 4 last year in order to get the 4 seats and a larger bed. I also have a VERY old John Deere ATM 600 Gator (the original model). Once that old girl dies I'm going to pick up one of those RTV 500's.

Here is a stupid question: Is it 4 wheel drive? The Kubota site never says it is...but it doesn't say it isn't either:confused:

Yes, 4x4. It's like most others where you can choose between 2 or 4 wheel drive, plus it has a locking differential when the 4x4 running gets real slippery!

Saw one today at the dealer. Decent looking machine. I'm fond of my 900 though. Man that thing can do some work!

If I remember correctly, about $8,400.
I have a 2006 RTV 900,if I was going to pay $8400 I would step up to the RTV 900 for a little more $$ at $10,500 and get the diesel engine option.Good value IMHO.coobie

They are fun and quiet. Pretty quick little machines. They come in Kubota Orange and Realtree camo (just like to other RTV's). They blow the Mule away!

Greetings and salutations fellow board members from my corner of the very soggy, soon to be frozen eastern wilderness @ 1140 feet above mean sea level.

As I sit here looking out side at the very wet weather not wanting to think about the weather that will be upon us and I was wondering if the Kubota RTV models come with a 540 PTO option- I remember seeing someones RTV baling hay(with a mini baler-Caeb brand) on one of the european farm web sites a while back and got to thinking about small 3 point implements such as a snow thrower, rototiller, mini hay baler etc. and would the larger Kubota RTV if it has a PTO option be able to handle them?

Many thanks for a great forum to you all especially Neil from Messicks and Iron Horse from across the Pacific pond who has repeatedly vindicated my need for a flail mower due to safety concerns.
