Kubota 2013 Rtv1100
I have 2013 rtv1100 that had two front worklites when I got it. One burnt out so rather than spend 26 for 1 bulb I bought new lites
Installing I discovered new lites red n Black wire old lites and harness are red and white. When I connect red red n Black white they don't work but I can get spark when touching wires and ohms are good. I switch wires n still no lites. I know very little about lites so I'm asking for help why don't these work when I connect lites to wire harness

Given the age of the tractor you probably had incandescent bulbs. Those are not polarity sensitive. The new lights (from wherever you go them) may be LED. They ARE polarity sensitive. There is no cut and dried color code for vehicle wiring. Black is generally negative or ground. That's not a given, it's a generality. Red is generally hot or positive. If you put your voltmeter's negative lead on the frame and turn on the light switch the hot wire will be the positive one. The other wire will read zero or close to it. If your new fixture is incandescent ensure you have no continuity between wires when bulb is removed. Check continuity from each wire end to center or side of socket. You may have purchased defective lights.

Buy a multimeter. Sparking wires to test only impresses some of the ladies. Hope that whoever connected your aux harness used fused lines.

Sparking wires will generally blow fuses too. o_O
