Not sure why the rtv owners haven't posted?
I have heard it is something to do with the swash plates.
If I knew the answer I would help.

Adjusting the servo and swashplates on an RTV is an undertaking for only the most able mechanics and with the proper manual. The procedure is complex and I would not suggest this unless you have a complete understanding of the hydro trans. There are other less complex ways to get a few mph out of the RTV without playing with the hyro, but you won't get much more than 30mph.

As far as advising people on how to turn up the fuel pump or adjust the hydro, which I have been asked several times through pm's, I will not do it as I do not want to be responsible for someone ruining an expensive machine. In these instances I think it is more responsible not to pass on the information.

I do remember reading here or on another board, that you are able to get 30 mph out of the RTV, but I think it is just an adjustment to get more rpm out of the engine which is not as high on the RTV in stock form, as it is when the same engine is used on other applications.

It's not real difficult to get 30 mph out of one, but I do not know how a person can get any more than that out of one. And, as has been stated, it will void your warranty and could lead to serious damage if tickled a bit too much.

What are the adjustments you can do to get 30mph?
Right now it goes around 25mph or less.

i would say 25mph is fast enough i got my hpx doing 30mph but i never go that fast i always thought man if i can get it to go faster but after i did i found out it just wasn't meant to go that fast .lol i spend most of the time at half throttle or below. like others have posted it's really not worth the the effort and trouble to make it go 5mph faster plus your gonna end up brakin stuff.

Tommy,
I'm getting 27 mph out of mine. ( GPS readings ) , Don't think I would jeopardize anything just to get another 3-4 mph out of the machine. Like you, I don't run mine very fast....
Running like we do, it is not enough of a time frame to worry about, your really not getting there much faster....

the video i "had"up if you would have noticed i didn't gun the engine infact i raely put it in 4x4 i keep it in two wheel drive with the rear locked and putt!putt! through the mud now if i go to get stuck i drop it in 4x4 and give it some gas but in 4 low it only does what?12mph so it ain't gonna go that fast but it spins the tire fast enough to cleam them off.and if i still don't move i break out the winch and then if i still can't get out i call my friend with his rhino and pray!!! he has stock tires and he has to give it all he has in 4x4 loxked just to go through what i go through in 2 wheel drive with the rear wheels locked so if i'm stuck and the winch ain't helpin he's my only hope . i can't wait til he gets his 589's then i'll feel better.

To just get to 30mph, make sure you get the throttle linkage set to give you fill throttle and then (here's where I would suggest waiting until you're out of warranty) you can turn up the pump a bit by removing the tamper-proof cap on the pump for access and making about 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn.

Which screw and which way?

I took my 1100 in to the dealer to find out why it would not go over 23 mph and they turned up the pump from 3100psi to 3200psi. They said this was max based on factory manuals. They did tell me the dealer in Colorado doing the $3000 turbo package has factory permission to go to 3800psi and still be with in warantee. My dealer is trying to get Kubota approval to do this. I'm not looking for more than about 27mph, i mainly want power because i'm in a hilly area.

To get more power Im going the turbo route like Mikeyd has done.

I have the turbo installed an ready to go.

Does anyone know if it is necessary to change the injector tips for more fuel with the turbo running aout 6 lbs of boost? If so, where can one buy these injectors.

thanks for any advice,
Chuck

I ended up getting a Workshop Shop Manual and it says you can to up to 3840 psi on the pump. I took mine back to the dealer and had them set it up to that. Still didn't make much difference though. I did find the pressure relef valve for the tied to the brakes was mis adjusted and this seemed to help power and speed a bit.

Is the tamper-proof cap on top of the pump, towards the front of the pump?

I'll have to look for you. It's been a while. Unfortunately I had some surgery and am laid up for a bit. I'll post when I'm able to get out and look. Sorry for the delay. Believe me, I'm not enjoying it.

The Kubota rep turned my fuel control up (it was still under warranty) to get more revs but still will not get any more than 25mph so I would leave it alone. My concern was power at high altitude, 6,200 feet here and have been to 8,500' where I thought I would have to leave it for good. Kubota misrepresented the 1100 to us folks in the mountains buy selling them here, not to mention the sticking in gear issue, and would not own up to their mistake. Now I have to suffer everytime I look at the thing knowing what a costly mistake I made.
