RTV 1100 Light Bars

I need to light up the planet from the front and back of my RTV 1100. I would prefer a plug and play fit as opposed to having to fab anything up; but the first priority is BRIGHTNESS. Willing to pay for quality.

What say ye?

I only paid $28-something; they've gone up a little.

I was very surprised at the quality - solid aluminum housing with extensive heatsinking. Very solid steel and multi-way adjustable mounts. Unfortunately, no performance reports yet. First have to decide what to mount it on, and then have to get it done.

Definitely LED. Start Googling. Buy whatever you feel comfortable fitting to your RTV. They are low amp so wiring isn't a big issue.

Did you fabricate the mounting bar? I see the 31 inch light has a sliding mount feature, so it might be plug and play on my RTV...

Did it come with wiring harness and switch?

Big Al, yes I made the mounting bracket with whatever I had laying around. 1" sq tubing with 1"x3/16" strap bent and then bolted to the RTV roof mounts. didnt' take too long.

Good question on wiring: I bought these at the same time, used one for these lights on the RTV, one in case I needed it for the tractor: Amazon.com: Nilight Off Road ATV Jeep LED Light Bar Wiring Harness Kit 12V/4A Relay On/off Switch ,ONE Year Replacement: Automotive

Understood. I reckon I would need the harness. I want to avoid fabricating anything if possible, so the 31 inch unit with the 3 sliding mounts would allow for only a minimum of fab work.

I may give these a go, and if they don't hold up I will look at the Black Oak units. For the big cost differential it is worth taking a shot on the Nilight units first.

Yup on the cost differential!! The Nilight I posted for $30 vs an equivalent Black Oak for about $365!! Acknowledging that Nilight come from "the Chyna" and some reviewers have reported leaks. But they are at least DESIGNED to comply with IP67. I figure if mine leak, they get warranted.

Just ordered the Nilight units to see how they work out. If they hold up, great. If not, then I'll pop for the high end gear.

Will be a couple of weeks before I can get to installing; stand by...

Harbor Freight has a "free" coupon right now for their 18" magnetic tool holder. I believe that the mounting holes on it will just align with the mount points on the NiLight. If not, they have their 25# force circular magnets that have a 1/4" mounting hole in the center. $8 for a pair.
