Rounded off drain plug

I know an old dentist that would have yanked it out by now.

Maybe that is the OPs problem.....
He may be doing too much yanking

:confused3:

I've not read but very little of this thread and not about to start at the beginning. I'm wondering though, in case the plug in question is still not out, why not just put a pipe wrench on the threaded portion of the plug and remove it? There is obviously something that I'm missing.

Until you've read about 500 posts, that's a lazy question.

Spoiler alert, one pipe wrench has already bit the dust in this effort.

The pipe wrench concept has not incentivized Kando to get it done yet. We have not come up with a Kando method yet :stirthepot::stirthepot:

You know, I have often wondered the same thing....

I think Kando is just pulling all of our legs and trying to see if he can beat the Pallet thread.....

Those Hoosiers are tricky!

181 pages for a stuck drain plug? I've been gone WAY too long...

Got a buddy helping me out, going through our options.

Ground two flat sides on the plug to get a good bite surface.

Good bite, 8" wrench, need to go bigger. Couldn't find one of my bigger pipe wrenches at the time so trying again tomorrow.

Here's the pipe wrench he tried and broke.

That was only 439 posts ago.

You're preaching to the choir...but not necessarily to the sophomoric (bed wetters) denizens of this thread...

You've not missed anything as long as you read significant posts up to where the pictures are attached...then it's just a bunch of rhetorical advise that is primarily spot on and then a bunch of off the wall useless suggestions (some of them dangerous) that are just plain stupid...The reason the thread is so long is there is a contingent of goofs that have made stupid jokes and references throughout...Methinks "the goofs" are intrigued by the fact that they themselves have been able to remove a drain plug (on their own) that they are just giddy...
