Stanley classic 99 razor knife, no need to remove the core :D

That's one option, but then we must discuss face/eye protection:footballhelmet: in case stem take's flight.

Let's not get the cart before the hors,,,,,,,,,tire before the tractor. We should discuss methods and tools for removing valve core, then we can talk about the tire. Re-inflation should be in a seperate thread.

Drive your tractor through stump and limb infested woods in the most inaccessible part of your property. That should take out a valve stem and maybe a hydraulic line.

Just be informed that people sometimes lose drain plugs driving through those kind of places.

They could also take out an eye if they are not wearing eye/face protection .

Quit following about page 100 or so.

So has this ever been brought up? The use of an induction heater?

New & Improved Bolt Buster Heat Induction Tool | BOLT BUSTER - HEAT INDUCTION TOOL
There are numerous others as well but based on memory of early post describing the location, this one looks like a good fit.

I think heat was ruled out when it was suggested welding a 36"pipe wrench to the plug. The idea was heat from welding would alow plug to be screwed out with needle-nose pliers.

Sawzall all the way (unless you want to reuse the tire).

I have some real wide turf tires I am getting rid of. One of the beads busted and the sidewall split on one tire. If I sawzall the sidewalls off will the tread flatten out to be usable for a shop mat or will it curl?

I dunno, but if you wrap some of it round the plug before putting the stiltson on, it will afford more grip and help soak up some of that grease that is causing everything to slip :)

It stays flat and, while it did it a while ago, I used a large pair of industrial scissors to cut it . Sawzall was hard to use on my tire because it bounced around too much. I suppose it depends on how thick the sidewall is.

Nah, you've got it all wrong-----------
Oxy Aceteline torch, you can burn the plug out without harming the pan.
and the cold draining oil will put out any fires.

I agree.

Sawzall will prob knock your fillings out while gnawing at the rubber. Sharp razor works best.

It depends on how hard the rubber is.

This is one of the tires. Tread is still deep but the sidewalls are shot after 35 years.

Got a buddy helping me out, going through our options.

Ground two flat sides on the plug to get a good bite surface.

Good bite, 8" wrench, need to go bigger. Couldn't find one of my bigger pipe wrenches at the time so trying again tomorrow.
