I dont recomend it!! Looked like an old well head that was no longer in use just above ground level. Tore the crap out of my blade edges. Guess I will be doing some grinding. try and get them cutting again. The end 3 inches looks like a serrated knife. In the mean time I will run the mower the other way. I have a brand new edge on that side.

This brought some concern to mind. If you were mowing like this and struck something valuble who does that fall on. Initally I want to say me and my inshurance, but when I bid jobs I ask the owners where utilites are and to identify anything sticking up that would disagree with a mower.

What do you think?

You could get the land owner to always sign a release holding them responsible if something of value is destroyed. Kind of like a "rock" clause in a contract when excavating is being done.

Wife called the lady our business uses for a Attorney and asked her to write something up. Should have it by end of the week.

I started on the blades today. I only had a few minuets but without taking alot of metal off they are toast. I will dress them where they will cut and just use that direction for unknown stuff save the good edge.

I am having a problem with my skid steer not wanting to run continuous the other direction. If I hold the button down it works but when i let up it slams to a stop. The settings are the same when the other side is running. I have noticed a female quick connect that dosent seal right and i can turn the blades and oil just comes out. I wonder if that quick connect has an issue that is causing a the skid steer to not want to lock into detent mode that direction.

Sounds like your pressure relief/check valve that lets the blade coast down is only letting the blade spin down in one direction. I would bet that if you swapped lines where they go into the motor your problems would go away.

Thanks Aron, I know one of my ends was bad, I got a replacement and havent had a chance to swap it out yet. The one that came on the mower was stuck open internaly. I will give your idea a try.
