Rotary brush

A friend of mine has a rotary brush that came with a mower he bought at auction. He does'nt use it and says it is mine if I want it. The brush has the PTO hook up on the right side, the same side as the front PTO on my 4300. Attatching the brush to my tractor looks like it would be fairly simple, however figuring out if it is possible and how to get a PTO shaft to fit is another matter. Any advice would be appriciated.

Can you contact the manufacturer of the brush to find out what rpm PTO is needed? Also contact Deere to find out what the length of the PTO shaft is that fits the 4300, and if the forward end is similar to your brush needs.

What brand is it - Sweepster maybe? Does it have a gearbox and chain drive to the broom?
