YanMar YM1610D
Guys, is this green structure the lower part of a Factory ROPS system or just part of a factory sunshade? Excuse the blurriness.

There not Yanmar Factory. With the PTO Shield looks to be Old US. ROP.

I can kind of see it. Mine is attached to the transmission/pto assembly in the same spot, but mine does not look like that. Mine is aftermarket

Thats a horrible picture!

It may be some cobbled togeather home PTO shield if it does not look like something is snapped off of it.

It appears to be manufactured and is Yanmar "frame" green. I going to the barn right now and get a decent picture of it. Be back in a minute or 30.

Alright, here's the new pix. The last one is of my "Dragon" box blade. Never heard of the company, has anyone?

As far as the condition of the structure, this tractor has been worked very hard in it's former life, so there are lots of mis-shaped parts, but the paint on this ROPS looking device exactly matches the other green stuff in tint and age.

According to your profile you have a Ym1610, no OEM rops, no OEM pto shield.

I still say not oe. As rough as that looks its not yanmar. I think they used squared tubing anyway, plus i beleive they connected to the axles not the PTO plate/trasmission.

We have bought a few parts tractors over the years that had that same pipe "ROPS" looking piece on it. They were no where near heavy enough to be a ROPS so we concluded that they must be for a canopy of some kind. They have all been exactly the same so either a big importer was putting them on or it was optional equipment of some kind.

Dragon is made by Modern Ag right here in Texas.

Hope that helps.

WWWeeeeeeeeellllllllllllll, That's why I posted this. I am deferring to your collective experience. Since I've only owned this tractor for 3 months, I can only report on what I see. I have seen pix of all the ROPs available for this tractor and this unit definitely ain't one of them.! The unit looks like it came on the tractor by it's condition and construction,i.e.tin-bending and welds. I have read everything on the net about these tractors which indicates that this is an unusual installation. I have looked at every gray market Yanmar tractor photo I can find, and have found nothing to explain this unless it was a one off. But it doesn't look like one. THAT'S WHY I BROUGHT IT TO THE BOARD!;)

Maybe a permanent mount for a sprayer or some other accessory? If Aaron has seen several then it must be a factory part - but for what???

Its a canopy mount,
We have a pallet load of em rusting in the rain. Im going to scrap them.

So I guess none of the canopies made it over here. If that is the case, I will probably remove it. Although I could fabricate the rest of it and mount some offroad lights and maybe a couple of 30 caliber machine guns.

What would you charge me for one of those?

Gary, there is one little problem, and that is, I don't know what model goes with what tractor. They are all piled in a large scrap metal pile.

I know that I have never had a YM 1900 here.

These came of of mostly the F FX and a few YMs....

No problem, I was wanting one to use as a template for the base that bolts to the PTO plate. I can make one, it's just always easier if you have a template to copy.

Thanks. For reference, just about any part from a YM1600 or YM2000 fits the 1900.
