crazyal, how do you keep that tractor so shiny and clean?

It got it's first wash before winter and a good greasing. Call it a pet peeve, I hate chipping frozen mud off of trucks and equipment before working on them. Now snow season is almost here it's not going to play in the mud again until spring.

If you wish to pick on me I actually thought, for a moment, about waxing it so when the snow melts on the hood it would roll off. But since it's been years since the last time I waxed anything and I have no idea where I put it.

Snow blowing in the dead of night is actually fun. Kind of spooky when there's no moon and all you can see is what the light hits. If it's stopped snowing and the small trees are bent over the driveway covered in snow only to get blasted by the snow coming out of the chute so the spring back up is something I enjoy doing. I just get my fill of it after a few weeks. 3 or more months of it gets old. When we get a real dumping it's satisfying to see results from your work.

Crazyal,

That is some real nice work. I am envious of those brackets. I wish I had the time, skill, and necessary tools to do that.

I just ordered 4 LED lights to mount on my B2150 and I'm still trying to figure out the best way to mount them.

I like the idea of magnet mounts since I really won't use the lioghts very often. Mostly for snow blowing with the 3pt blower. So if I used some sort of magnet mount, I could easily remove them and keep them out of harms way when I cut grass.

I would hate to catch them on a tree and mess 'em up.

Although, they might be considered a little expensive versus LED's or building your own, I bought the BX-Expanded lights. They are quick to install. And since they are "spring" mounted, I just turn them from the top of the ROPS to underneath the ROPS when not needed. Thus, they are always available on quick notice without much fuss and yet are out of the way the rest of the time where they won't get smashed on a low limb or garage door. If one hard mounts the lights on top of the ROPS, it's too much trouble to move them.

OldBalls,

Thanks for the info. I couldn't figure out how that BX-Expanded mount worked. I could nto find a good picture.

But the it sounds like it could work for me too. But I think you can only buy it as an entire kit. I only need the mounting bracket set-up.

That's why I am considering the magnet mounts.

Thanks, Tim
