3-Point Hitch Rockshaft Adjustment

New at this, so hopefully I give enough correct information. I have a JD 3520 and I am curious about adjusting the rockshaft locknut to loosen some of the tension on it. I was curious about doing this. Do you have to remove the whole seat and the plastic cover to get to it. It looks like it is right below the lever is where the nut is to adjust it.

Any help would be greatly apprecaited. Thanks

Are you talking about the adjusting lever has too much tension on it?

Yes it has to much tension on it, so it was recommended to loosen it some.

If remember correctly our 2320 was the same way and I think all I did was bend it. Moved the lever to the wide spot in the guide and gave it a tweak. If I take a look at it I may remember for sure but that ain't gonna happen tonight.

Ok, in my drawing I have, I actually have to remove the whole lever as the locking nut sits underneath it.

Have you tried a good lubricant like Fluid Film?

You need to try that first, somehow. There are lots of pivot points that could be binding.

I will give that a shot, if it doesn't happen to work, how would you recommend to get to that nut to loosen up a bit?
