Nice work! Do have the measurements for above and below the pivot point? That would be much appreciated.
I'm in a similar situation- lots of rock to move! Plus some of mine is down a steep hill and it would be impossible to lift it up with a grapple of forks.

If you will reply again tomorrow that will remind me to go out and measure them.

Thank you! Looks like 9" above the pivot point and 28" below. I'm assuming the ratio is important but the scale can change?

No mathematics involved in my design. I actually doubt the ratio matters much as long as it is above a certain point (above the pivot is long enough). Longer just makes them harder to open while hanging.

Also the length of the chain connecting the sides should be as short as possible.

If I were making them to be put on laying on their side (rather than lifting straight up), I would have four legs rather than 3.
