Any ideas on how to prevent the backhoe mount from tipping up when not installed? It uses 3 points to remove and stand but as you know hydro leaks off over time which makes it sink forward. The back/mount rails are now way too high to drive over to hook up normally. I found I can back up perpendicular to it and hook up and use the hydro to correct it but I'd imagine there is something I am missing as this shouldn't be the normal procedure. If there wasn't enough length on the hydro to fix it my next step was to push it down with the FEL and stack concrete blocks under the backhoe bucket. FYI my solution pictured below would work better if I had access from the opposite side. There is barely enough length in the hydro lines and they would be closer approaching from the opposite side. No there is not enough hydro length to simply back up parallel to the mount rails.

Unless someone has a better idea I will probably modify the heavy duty shipping crate it came in to accomplish keeping it where it should be to hook up. Thanks. 20190221_075622.jpeg20190226_080606.jpeg

I think you will find that most people build a stand / box / skid to support it after removal.

I would never own anything that was set up like that . I would buy a real backhoe , and a mower .

Same thing happened to me. All I did was place a couple of concrete blocks under the backhoe, between the outriggers. Nice solid frame right there to set on. and I have the bucket/arm curled so it has no where to go. Then if the outriggers lose some pressure (which they always do over a couple of weeks or more) then it rests on the concrete blocks and the front stays down so you can drive over it. I've not seen all the different kinds of frame mounted backhoes, but I would imagine they are all a bit similar.

Hmm maybe it's just as simple as setting blocks to create a raised platform under the main body with enough area that it wont allow tipping when the hydro bleeds off?

Chesternator mine did the same thing. I figured out how to stop it by using the thumb. Open your bucket and drop your thumb so it sits like a triangle. The thumb is like a kick stand and will not allow the hydraulics to leak down. It has stayed put for almost two months and hasn't moved. I'll try and get a picture when I go out to the land.

Yes. I did something very similar to that. And since have had no issues. I just wish it would dry up so I can put it back on.
