I udnerstand why you would think that, however kubota and john deere are a good hour + from my actual location. To top off with the JD and Kubota dealerships having the level of support service RK is commonly addressed as having.

Personally I agree entirely with the hesitation, with that being said I have met with all the service mechanics at my local RK and feel way more confident than I would with JD or kubota.

I was not referring to individual RK dealerships.
If the RK dealerships cannot readily source RK parts, they can have the best facilities/personnel in the world, but your tractor will not be fixed.
Try to follow up on some RK reviews here on TBN.
I think you will see that parts availability may be somewhat lacking, when compared with Kubota or JD.

Insured yes. Licensing and permits aren't really a thing in my neck of the woods.

As a business? Does it cover, or do you have the resources to cover any damage? If you run over the owner's prize winning rose bush? A utility guy wire? Gas line?

The fundamental importance of TRACTOR WEIGHT eludes many tractor shoppers.

An RK24 is too light for commercial work.

True to an extent, but really depends on what work they want to do. Field & Grunt work, sure. But mowing and tilling not so affected.

Planning a cash revenue stream, using one of the smallest, cheapest tractors in the marketplace, is simply not a good plan.

An RK24 is an awful small tractor to be considering side work. It might have some situations where it's better -- say if you need to get into a tight space next to a house to dig something with a small backhoe, but overall I don't think it's capable enough overall to be useful as a job tractor. And we've seen a pretty lousy level of parts support from RK in general, so I'd be wary of pushing any RK model beyond homeowner use. RK started out strong with their tractor endeavor, but really faded after about a year. Some could see it coming.

Size can be a major factor on some job sites. The smaller over all on the RK24 makes it possible to get to areas that otherwise would be shovel and barrow work.

As for K and JD we had several hanger queens over the years. So I don't play the brand name game

Lowest cost, must be buying for the military or government. Both usually lowest bidder situations.
