Return to last post read

Using the new forum format...(is it permanent now?)....getting to like it.

BUT, if I've read a post and additional post are made, when I open the thread up, the forum use to return me to the last post read. AND I remember it doing that using the new format, but it's not working anymore.

How do I fix that?

In the new format, you have to click the little round button to the left of the title. I prefer the behavior of the old TBM format better, where clicking the title took you directly to the last read post if you previously visited the thread (and if you hadn't, it took you to the first post, so it covered all bases). I think there was a feedback thread going -- maybe we need to post this as request to restore the old behavior?

Yes. Changes are too often an upset to a system that works; addressing 1 or 2 problems while presenting losses, or the need for workarounds in areas that were fine. ... Considering the offsetting factors, is there really a net improvement?

Right - it seems more logical the way the old format processes it. If you've never opened the thread before, clicking on the thread title puts you at post number one either way. But if you have opened the thread before, I'd rather be routed to the post following the one viewed last.

Forum users...vote your preference. Old way much better.
