Good Morning,
This is my first journey into blogging if this is what that is called. I have a 5 acre parcel that I grow hay on and have laying chickens to keep the grandkids amused. What brings me here today is that I recently bought a Farenlose RS 151 drum mower NR 8395 at the Chilliwack auction in the Fraser Valley. I have replaced the PTO shaft bearings and found new blades for it. What I am not sure of is the 1/2 inch cable coming from the drum set to the top of the 3 point assembly, it then hangs down about 3 feet and terminates in a 6 inch chain circle. My query is, where should his go? I'm thinking to loop it over the left three point arm? or maybe install the drag bar and wrap it on the bar? I guess it is to help lift the drum assembly but unsure if it is needed for mowing or just transportation? The only photos I have been able to find do not show such a wire cable. Thanks, Retired Rookie.

Welcome to the forum. Let me suggest you post your question in the "Ag Tractors & Machinery" section where there will be more readers that know their way around hay equipment. Good luck with the new mower.
