Retiming injector pump

Can an individual retime a diesel injection pump or will I have to send it off. This is on a case DX33 ???

What indicates that IP needs timing? Inj pump is timed to engine by adding/removing shims. If your mechanically inclined with the aid of a DX33 tech manual then you should be able to time IP to engine.
