Say I come across a very large thread with many pages and I decide I want to read it from the start over the next few weeks or whatever.

Problem is, I have clicked on the last page or most of the time TBN automatically takes me to the last page or some random spot even though I have never read this post (what is up with that and why does this happen?)

Anyway, back to my first question. Is there any way to reset the thread so I can keep my spot by using the "last read" function without having to remember where I left off? I place shortcuts to the page on my desktop to get around this problem but I have to remember to place a new shortcut where I left off each time.

Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, no. Once it's marked as read you can't mark it as unread.
