Requiem for a dog

Dogs are often our families our friends and companions. They came to be with humans in the dim recesses of time by choice and mutual interests when all the others animals turned their backs on humans and drew that line between humanity/dogdom and the animal kingdom. I believe they are our soulmates. DOG---GOD------you think as you like.
J, all good dogs go to heaven, if not, I am not sure it is a place for me

Grant, Having experienced the joy of canine companionship and the loss, I extend best wishes to the surviving brother and to your family. It really takes an unfeeling person to hit a dog and just keep on truckin'. Hope you can keep the survivor out of the street so the Bozos won't get a shot at him too.

Allow me to add my name to the long list of condolences. My heart goes out to you pal. I still hurt deep inside for all the dogs I've ever lost.

Grant, my dogs are my best friends. I have lost dogs, and know how you feel. There's not much that makes you feel worse. At least you know that many of us completely understand. As others have, I offer my condolences.

I always found that the best way to ease the loss is to busy yourself with another puppy. Not to replace your lost friend, but to occupy your thoughts. And suddenly you have another loyal companion.
