Replacing toplink boot on MF 135.

Hey guys was just putting new boots on the Massey and I was wondering about any tips or tricks of replacing the toplink boot. I thought I read a post somewhere but I can't remember where. Thanks

Try looking at "The Kid" Refurbushing my Z145 135 Page 19 Post 183 That's the only one I remember. Hope this helps.

Greetings Brakeman. When you change out the boot, it's an oportunity to check the draft control spring. I have photos of that processs here on TBN. There are a couple of tough areas to overcome but it can be done with common tools. Here is a link to where I do that.

Thanks The Kid. That is what I was looking for. I was following your thread pretty solid until things got busy. That is one nice Massey your got yourself. I will have to restart reading your thread, and thanks for all the pictures you have been posting it has helped to put everything into perspective.
I have the MF manuals, but true to life things that people run into helps a bit more.

I'll be honest, what looks to be a 20 minute job can turn into an all dayer sometimes. The retainer nut that holds the spring in will probably be sacrificial at least mine was. I had to take a cold chistle to it to get it loose. The parts are not expensive and I did replace over half the parts. I need to get my front brush guard back on. I'm been pushing down some 1" to 2" saplings and chewing the up. I'm afraid I'm going to bend up the lower guard.
