I have an LT1050. The deck chute has ripped. The original seemed to be kind of plyable, bendable I mean. Got the replacement part yesterday and it seems more like a hard plastic. I have not compared but I am going to assume at this point that the part is correct.
My question is the replacement seems straight forward, but if anyone has any insights or experiences (like what to watch out for) I would sure appreciated it. Thanks.

I'm surprised that the replacement is hard plastic. My 2145 replacement chute was the same stiff rubber as the original. That said, there are all differents types of plastic. It could very well be that the new one will serve you longer than the original.

No magic to replacing it. Just unbolt it and put the new one in place. You will probably need to replace the bolts and nuts in the process.

I'm surprised you replaced it. Most just go without the discharge chute.
