Hello folks,
I've got a 2011 Toro Titan zero-turn with Hydro-Gear ZT-2800 drives. I've got a leaking input shaft seal on one unit. I'd like to replace the seal externally. That is, pull it from the outside without dismantling the whole hydraulic drive. I've done it before on less crucial things, like snowblower output shafts. Has anyone got first-hand experience on this one, or similar?

The seal is part no. 56.

I think you mean #56 and judging by the drawing _only_ it could be removed after the snap ring (57) is out.

Yes, part 56. Typo.

Thats' what I was thinking Chuck. I've had success before by driving 2 small screws through a seal and pulling it out.

Is part 54 a o-ring? Usually there’s the dust seal part 56 and a deeper high pressure oil seal.
